The theme for this sermon is Welcome Home. Our prayer is that God’s Word might remind God’s people that, as Christians, we are family—Jesus is our brother and our fellow Christians are our brothers and sisters. Sadly, we easily forget this reality. And sadly, for many of our fellow family members, congregational life does not feel like home. On this day we pray the Holy Spirit would renew and restore congregations to be the families his Word says they are.
