Apostle Paul counsels the Church to “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality” Romans 12:13–16 (NIV®️). In the English language, there’s a connection between hospital, hospitable, and hospitality. They’re all about welcoming, sheltering, and including people. It is one of the several things listed in Romans, chapter 12, that will enable each one of us to be more spiritually healthy. So, how do you become more hospitable? By practicing hospitality, and some of us are out of practice. But we are assigned this responsibility, and Scripture suggests that as we learn to flourish as Christ-followers a significant part of that is available to each one of us—to open our lives, open our homes, welcome people to our table, and practice hospitality.
