The primary assignment of God’s people is to impact our culture, and the Apostles Creed—one of the oldest statements in Christendom—reflects the core values we are meant to represent:

"I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven and sits on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen."

We’re the twenty-first-century edition of the book of Acts, and we have the same assignment as the apostles—to make Jesus Lord of our lives and to impact our culture with the core values of our Christian faith.
