In the final message of the What Now? series, Beth encourages us to lift our eyes fully and finally to Jesus highly exalted; the same Jesus who ascended, who reigns, and who will return. As she reminds us throughout this series, we cannot be firmly grounded without seeing Jesus highly exalted.
Drawing from Daniel 7:8-14, Beth points us to a vision of God seated on the throne- glorious, authoritative, and just. He is not distant or indifferent, but a righteous Judge who will be answered to, and a compassionate God whose character is marked by mercy and faithfulness (Exodus 34:6). His glory is so overwhelming that we will not know what to do with all that we see.
This message traces the movement of Jesus from ascension to blessing, position, reception, outpouring, equipping, and finally, return. Beth reminds us that God will take care of what must be taken care of, even when our understanding feels incomplete now (1 Corinthians 13:8-13). Like Moses in Exodus 33, we are invited to long for God’s presence, trusting that one day what we have wondered and wrestled with will be fully revealed.
In Christ, every “what now?” will one day be answered. Until then, we stand anchored in hope, faithful to the One who reigns and is coming again.
