On Christ the King Sunday, we celebrate the triumph of Christ our King! But it doesn’t look like our normal view of a king’s power. Instead of great wealth, instead of forcing his will on others, Jesus shows us what real power looks like as he dies on the cross, is laughed at, dies, and earns our salvation!

This is a WELS sermon on the readings from Year C End Time 4 (Christ the King): We end the Church Year celebrating the Triumph of Christ our King! Readings are Jeremiah 23:2-6; Colossians 1:13-20; and Luke 23:35-43.
