We cannot understand our nation’s story apart from a faith in Almighty God. Now, we can understand history from economic, military, or international relations perspectives. But it’s impossible to tell the story of this nation apart from our faith because the freedoms and liberties we enjoy are a result of the Church accepting the assignment to help each generation understand our responsibility to the civil authorities under which we live. But what about us? Will we continue to be guardians of those freedoms or allow them to be eroded by the deceptive messaging that cascades over us each day? Will we courageously honor our Judeo-Christian values in the public square or be too embarrassed and reluctant to use our voices of influence to the generations ahead of us? The choice is ours. God is moving in the earth. Church, let’s choose to believe God and honor Him in this generation.
