Culturally, submission is a posture to avoid at all costs, a position reserved for the supposed lesser. Yet as Christ followers we are called to willingly submit. In family, in marriage, in work settings, and in faith we are all called to a life of submission. Not a life of oppression, but submission. Submission can be hard, but it is holy. In fact, submission becomes possible when we submit to him, or her, or them as if we are submitting to the Lord himself.
