When life knocks you off your feet, you can look yourself as a victim, or as a student. Which one are you? In our passage, Jacob reaps what he has sown over a long time. He had been getting away with deception for so long, but finally gets his due. Nobody really gets away with it, particularly if you are genuinely a child of God (Hebrews 12:5-13).
