And I think it tells us something that I think is important obedience to God does not mean discarding our brains. Obedience to God does not mean discarding our brains. Wisdom demands discernment. It demands that we ask questions we seek counsel we count the cost which by the way Jesus himself said to his own followers to do to count the cost in Luke 14. So when seeking to respond with obedience to God's call this tells me an important principle and it's this: that discernment is not disobedience.
