Scripture says that in the last days, it will get terrible—not because of war, or famine, or politics—but because people will love themselves. Not a surface-level affection, but a consuming obsession with self. And that’s exactly what’s happening. A culture where pride is branded as confidence, indulgence is called self-care, and narcissism is normalized. The shocking thing is that this isn’t rare anymore—it’s *expected*.

The warning doesn’t hit hard because it feels so familiar. That’s the danger. What God calls a tragedy, the world now calls normal. And when the Church no longer sees the difference, it stops being salt and light.
