We love those who love us, but is that real love? We find that all human love has strings attached. It is selfish love. But God’s love for us is different. It is unconditional. It is God’s commitment to our eternal good even when it costs him everything!

This is a WELS sermon on the theme of the Self-Sacrificing Love of Christ and of Christians. Readings are Exodus 32:30-32; Romans 9:1-5; Isaiah 53:5; and John 17:1-5.
