We have to come to grips with this—we will never fully understand God. He is beyond us, His ways are higher, His thoughts are beyond our reach. Isaiah 40 asks, Can you fathom the mysteries of God? The answer is no. Psalm 145 says no one can fathom His greatness. And yet, so often we wrestle, we question, we try to put Him in a box, as if we could ever contain Him. But here’s the truth: God hasn’t called us to understand Him—He’s called us to obey Him.

There are things He’s revealed to us, and those things are enough. Enough for us to trust Him. Enough for us to follow Him. Enough for us to live by. But there are also things He’s chosen to keep secret, things we’ll never comprehend this side of eternity. And that’s okay. Because He is God, and we are not. Instead of demanding answers, maybe we should humble ourselves before Him—trusting that the One who is beyond our understanding is also the One who is infinitely good.
