It is important for God’s people to know that there are some actions on our part that actually release God’s impact in our lives. The fact is, “truth divorced from experience must always remain a theory, remain in the realm of a doubt.” You have to combine truth with experience, and when you do that, then your experience portfolio grows. That applies to God’s promises for your life because our faith is not theoretical or just a series of Bible studies. Until you choose to involve yourself in faith—believing God’s promises—it’s just an idea, and there’s a huge gap between the concept and the experience. So, to allow God’s promises to shape our future, decide to cultivate and cooperate with the patient formation of faith. It will enable you to live the life God carefully designed for you!
