A Prayer of the Day. “On that day the LORD their God will save them for they are the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land.” (Zechariah 9:16 NRSV)

Lord, thank you for being our shepherd. You are the good shepherd who laid down your life for us, your sheep. Thank you for your kindness and faithfulness. You lead us to living water and restore our souls and refresh our minds and bodies. You guide us in paths of mercy and righteousness and train us to practice your love and justice. When we lost you, you searched and found us and brought us back to your flock. You are our safe place in the times of danger. You are our peace when we feel fear. You are our strength when we are weak. You are our victory and protection. There is nothing can harm us. Lord, we trust you and follow you. Let us shine your glory. In Jesus name. Amen.
