Ephesians 4 reminds children that, while anger is acceptable, it is not a reason to lash out or sin. These crafts celebrate that and encourage students to lift others up in kindness. A "flip-side of anger mask" represents practicing kindness over anger. A stress relief ball offers an alternative to sinning in anger. And a special collaborative "building puzzle" helps kids give one another kind words, craft-style.

Craft one: “Flipside of Anger Mask” 
You will need: 
 
Paper plates 
Popsicle sticks 
Markers or crayons 
Scissors 
Markers, crayons, etc. 
Other decorations (jewels, stickers, etc.) 
Procedure: 
 
Decorate one side of the plate to be “angry”, using googly eyes or drawn eyes, expressive features, and a sunset to recall the verse. 
On the opposite side of the plate, draw a cheerful, “kind face” feature, with reflection on the importance of being tenderhearted. Exaggerate the mouth to remember speaking uplifting words. 
Attach additional verses or captions as desired. 
Tape or glue a popsicle stick to the plate, to hold it up as a double-sided mask. 
Craft Two: “Anger Relief Ball” 
You will need: 
 
Socks 
Cotton or stuffing 
Stickers/decorations 
Markers/crayons (fabric markers advised) 
Rubber bands and/or pipe cleaners

17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self,[a] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. 
 
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. 
 
Walk in Love 
5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Ephesians 4 reminds children that, while anger is acceptable, it is not a reason to lash out or sin. These crafts celebrate that and encourage students to lift others up in kindness. A "flip-side of anger mask" represents practicing kindness over anger. A stress relief ball offers an alternative to sinning in anger. And a special collaborative "building puzzle" helps kids give one another kind words, craft-style.

You will need:

Paper plates
Popsicle sticks
Markers or crayons
Scissors
Markers, crayons, etc.
Other decorations (jewels, stickers, etc.)
Procedure:

Decorate one side of the plate to be “angry”, using googly eyes or drawn

Bob Claycamp was born in Oregon into the Christian home of Elmer and Alta Claycamp. He and his older sister, Bev, were raised to believe that God existed and loved each person, and that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God. 
 
Bob and his wife Jeanne married at age 18 in the beginning of 1970 and lived in several of the dormitory-style Christian youth houses that were springing up all over the country. Then in 1973 they moved out to the main Study Center in Dexter, Oregon where Bob became one of the teachers of the foundational Bible School for the youth ministry. 
 
In 1978, Bob and Jeanne and their two sons, Micah and Jesse, moved to Arizona. After about three years selling insurance, and a third child later (Christopher), Bob began pastoring a small group of believers (1981) in the north part of Phoenix, which became known as Calvary Chapel-North Phoenix. Since this church began, many churches and ministries have been planted, and many worship leaders raised up and sent out. Truly this has been entirely by the grace of God and the obedience of the many brethren that have been members of the church. 
 
In November of 2010, the board of Calvary Chapel North Phoenix voted unanimously to turn the church over to Pastor Bob’s second son, Pastor Jesse, to be the Senior Pastor. Pastor Bob and Jeanne then joined the ministry of Poimen (Greek word for shepherd) to come alongside other Senior Pastors and their wives for support, encouragement, and assistance. 
 
In March 2013, they began serving in Exeter, England where Bob was pastoring for six years. After appointing a British pastor in November of 2018 to lead that congregation, they moved their Poimen ministry base to Aurora, Colorado and continue to minister and help other pastors and wives in the US, the UK and Europe. 
 
Although he has been serving as one of the Poimen Ministry pastors since 2010, as of November 10, 2024 Pastor Bob is now the head of Mission Assist, a non-profit 501(c)3 ministry that carries their personal vision of assisting pastors, missionaries and their wives in the US and abroad.
