The Recipe For Christian Misery - Psalm 19:7-11

Psalms 19:7-11

Shoreline is a group of people who have been transformed by a relationship with God.  Jesus has changed our hearts and our lives, and He can change your heart and life as well.  Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus.

We accomplish our mission by: Engaging people with the gospel, Equipping people through God’s Word, and Empowering people to serve the Lord.  All three of these components of the church work together to help us grow to spiritual maturity.

Psalm 19 declares God has gracious spoken to us in His creation and in His Word. Two of the great themes of the Bible are the revelation of God in creation and the revelation of God in Scripture. God’s glory is displayed in creation. God’s grace is displayed in Scripture. Creation declares to us there is a God, but Scripture tells us how we can know Him.

Psalm 19 
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; 
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 
8 The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; 
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; 
The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether. 
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; 
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. 
11 Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; 
In keeping them there is great reward.
