The Apostle Peter instructed Christians to "being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you." This book is a helpful aid to that end. First, it establishes that mankind is religious by nature, and that Christianity is the only world religion that fully adapts to man's moral nature. Second, it establishes the authenticity of the Old and New Testaments by external evidences. Third, it examines the internal evidences of the Scriptures' divine origin. Finally, it sets forth the fulfillment of biblical prophecy as further validation of the Bible's claims for itself.
Harvey Newcomb was an American clergyman and writer.
