Punchinello is a little wooden fellow who lives in Wemmicksville. Sometimes he feels sad because he looks different from the other Wemmicks and because he cannot do the things they can. They often treat him badly because he is not made of the "right" wood.
We all know what this feels like because there's a Punchinello deep within most of us. We recognize the need for approval, the desire to follow the crowd and the need to show our worth. And just like Punchinello we sometimes forget that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
One a different level we can also identify with Punch because just like him, we have a Creator who things we are special. He loves us very much - just the way we are.
Max Lucado uncovers ago-old truths in a unique and special way through his stories and the beautiful and striking illustrations will capture the imagination of children as well as speak to grown-ups on a deeper level.
Three of the most popular adventures of the adorable character Punchinello are neatly put together in this collection:
- Meet the cute little Wemmick in 'You Are Special' and find our how precious you are to God, regardless of what the world things.
- Follow Punchinello in 'You Are Mine' and learn that what you have is not as important as to Whom you belong.
- Visit Wemmicksville and see how Punchinello shows the other Wemmicks that he is specially made by his Maker in 'Best of All'.
