Why do we call the brutal execution of Jesus a "good" thing? The true meaning of Good Friday often confuses both believers and skeptics. While Scripture doesn't mandate its observance, understanding the history and significance of the cross fundamentally changes how we view God’s justice. Rather than a tragic accident, Christ’s death was a purposeful, substitutionary sacrifice for sin, proving that "while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Far from an out-of-control disaster, this sacred day demonstrates how God sovereignly used the ultimate evil to accomplish the glorious salvation of mankind.
