Zac Poonen ( - Present)

God called brother Zac Poonen to a new work early on in his Christian experience. The movement is now called Christian Fellowship Churches where the New Covenant of New Testament Christianity is clearly preached.

Brother Zac Poonen has written 25 books most of them being on the deeper Christian life. Many of these have been translated into a number of languages and have been circulated widely around the world. Mercy and Grace

We are told to come boldly "to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Heb. 4:16). Mercy and grace are not the same. Mercy refers to the forgiveness of our sins. That relates to our past. But we also need grace - for our time of need, in the future. O... Read More

Mercy is a Very Important Antidote to Pharisaism

Mercy is a very important antidote to Pharisaism. Being merciful to others means more than just forgiving those who harm us or do evil to us. It means doing good to others in need. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus explained what "mercy" meant (Lk.10:25-37- see the use of the word "mercy" ... Read More

Ministry of Ezra and Nehemiah

The Book of Nehemiah shows us the tremendous revival that God brought among the Jews through the influence of two godly men - Ezra and Nehemiah. In Chapter 8 of Nehemiah, we read what God did through Ezra. He took the Word of God and gathered all the men and women and children who were above the age... Read More

Ministry Of Intercession

God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world (Jn. 3:17). And the reason our Lord is able to save us completely is because He always lives to make intercession for us (Heb. 7:25). The ministry of accusation and condemnation is the ministry of Satan and we should ... Read More

Moses Manifested the Spirit of Christ

God tested Moses when he made the tabernacle to see whether he would make it exactly according to the pattern that he had received on the mount. The glory of the Lord coming on that tabernacle was the visible indication of God's satisfaction with Moses' work. How is it with us in what we do and buil... Read More

Mystery of Godliness and Mystery of Iniquity

It is written in Rev. 10:7, "but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as He preached to His servants the prophets." Once the seventh of the seven-fold trumpet is sounded, the 'mystery of God' will be finished. What is this myst... Read More

Never Forget Your Past

Peter himself warned other Christians saying, "Don't ever forget how you yourself were once cleansed from your sins" (2 Peter 1:9). He warns them there that if they do forget that, they will become blind and short- sighted. I don't ever want to be blind or short-sighted. I want to have a long-range ... Read More

New Wine in New Wineskin

Jesus said, "New wine must be put into new wineskins" (Lk. 5:38). And here is where our obedience is tested. In acquiring the new wine, our battle is against sin. But in acquiring the new wineskin, our battle is against religious traditions that have annulled the Word of God. And it is far more diff... Read More

New-Covenant Churches

The one identifying mark of a new-covenant church is the presence of God in its midst. When the spirit of prophecy is powerfully present in a church meeting, those coming to that meeting will fall on their faces and "acknowledge that God is there" (1 Cor.14:24, 25). When Jesus speaks prophetically i... Read More

Nine Effects Of The Word Of God

1.In Psalm 119:105, the Word is likened to light. "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." When we walk through unknown terrain in the dark, we use a light in order to see our way. That is a picture of what the Bible does for us in a world that lies in the pitch darkness of sin. I... Read More

No Confidence In Ourselves

Under the old covenant, the primary mark of an Israelite was circumcision. Anyone who was not circumcised was to be cut off from God's people, for he had broken the Divine covenant (Gen.17:14). In the new covenant, the spiritual meaning of circumcision is explained as "having no confidence in oursel... Read More

Nobody Can Harm Us Except We Ourselves

"Who can harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?"(1 Pet.3:13) God is so powerful that He makes ALL THINGS work together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose - that is, for those who have no ambition on earth outside of His will for their lives (Roman... Not Knowing One's Wretchedness

The elder in Laodicea (Rev.3:14-22) was rebuked strongly by the Lord for a number of reasons. He felt he was rich and increased with goods and had need of nothing. Riches are not related only to money. One can be rich in knowledge, gifts and talents too - and thus feel self-sufficient. Those who are... Read More

One Thing I Do

"But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not ... Our Accomplishments Or God's Gifts?

(A message given at Christian Fellowship Centre on April 23, 2000) Let's turn to Genesis chapter 4. We read here of two of Adam’s children – Cain and Seth - who were given names by Eve. She named her firstborn son "Cain" meaning, "I have created" (Gen.4:1-Living). Eve felt she had accomplished somet... Read More

Our Attitude To Corrections

One way in which God breaks our strength and pride is by correcting us through our leaders. Almost all believers find it very difficult to receive correction. It's not easy for even a two-year-old child to receive correction - especially if it's given publicly. When was the last time you joyfully ac... Read More

Our Choices Determine Our Future

When God sent Adam and Eve into the Garden of Eden, although He gave them ample freedom, He did make one restriction. He forbade them from eating of one tree. There was a reason for that. Without choice, no-one can be a son of God. No-one can be holy without personal choice. So when God sent Adam in... Read More

Our God Is A Consuming Fire

There are only TWO categories of people before God - not those who do right and those who do wrong, but those who are HUMBLE and those who are PROUD, or in other words, those who followed Jesus in His humility and those who followed Satan in his pride. It is the pride in our hearts that God is const... Read More

Our New-Covenant Birthright

Under the old covenant, the Holy Spirit came only upon certain people, to enable them to fulfil a specific task for God. Under the new covenant, however, the Holy Spirit can be received by all. He has come to show us the glory of Jesus and to transform us into His likeness. John the Baptist pointed ... Read More

Our Salvation is a Work of God

Salvation as described in the New Testament has three tenses - past, present and future. If we are born again, we have already been saved from the PENALTY of sin. We are now to be saved from the POWER of sin. And one day, when our Lord returns in glory, we will be saved from the very PRESENCE of sin... Read More
