Whilst the culture tells us to always follow our hearts, God tells us in Jeremiah 17:9 that the heart is deceitful above all things. Whilst the worldly culture tells us that seeing is believing, godly wisdom tells us in John 20:29 that blessed are those who have NOT seen and yet have believed. Whilst the worldly culture tells us to love our family and friends, godly wisdom tells us in Matthew 5:43-47 to also love our enemies. Worldly culture says we are to hate those who hate us; God tells us that we are to do good to those who hate us.* 
 
*????????‍♂️Whilst the worldly culture tells us to curse those who curse us; God tells us to still do good to those who hate us. Whilst the worldly culture tells us to follow the broad way; God tells us that life is found through the narrow gate. Whilst worldly culture tells us to judge on appearance and that size matters; God tells us NOT to judge on appearance and that size is irrelevant. Whilst worldly culture says that there are many ways to God, God tells us in Acts 4:12 there is only one way to Him, Jesus Christ. God’s way is antithetical to the world’s way.* 
 
*????O how sad it is that the sheep will NOT always understand their Shepherds leading, because of the influence of the culture. MOST believers today suffer from the Lot syndrome; their tent is pitched towards Sodom and they are blindly heading into Sodom to settle. Take care O brethren!*

You CANNOT lead your child to “the way” if you don’t know “the way!” You CANNOT teach what you don’t know. A physical impossibility, a spiritual CERTAINTY! 
 
TWO flesh equals ONE! 
 
TWO individuals brought together by God to fill in where the other lacks. 
 
MARRIAGE requires a partnership with God FIRST and foremost. Personal relationship to God is a PREREQUISITE to a godly marriage. 
 
MARRIAGE is a MIRROR. At times we may NOT like what we see, but if we resolve NOT to shy away from the reflection it can be a very valuable spiritual tool. 
 
MARRIAGE was designed to make us grow in HOLINESS, NOT HAPPINESS! 
 
MARRIAGE is showing us what we need to KNOW and pointing out where we need to GROW. If we look to anyone other than God to meet our deepest needs, we are guaranteed FRUSTRATION. 
 
MARRIAGE is to honour God. God gave marriage as a gift to Adam and Eve. They were created perfect for each other. 
 
MARRIAGE was NOT just for convenience, nor was it brought about by any culture. MARRIAGE is ordained by God. it is authored by God, that which is spiritually and physically made one by God, CANNOT be separated by mortals. 
 
MARRIAGE was instituted by God and has three basic aspects: 
 
1. The man leaves his parents and in a spiritual and public act promises himself to his wife. 
 
2. The man and woman are joined together by taking responsibility for each other’s welfare and by loving his wife above all others. 
 
3. The two become one flesh in the intimacy and commitment of sexual union, which is reserved for MARRIAGE. If we are one flesh: Separation is IMPOSSIBLE. 
 
Culture says “MARRIAGE” will solve problems, the Bible says “MARRIAGE” will expose your problems. Eek! 
 
Culture says “MARRIAGE” will lead to HAPPINESS, the Bible says “MARRIAGE” should lead to HOLINESS. Eh! 
 
The Bible says in order for TWO flesh to be ONE they MUST be equally yoked. Only marry within God’s people! Hmm! 
 
MARRIAGE first and foremost is a covenant to God; it is NOT only a commitment. And before you start thinking about MARRIAGE you need to know this: being the RIGHT person is as important as the right person. 
 
What is promulgated today in Christendom is NOT MARRIAGE; it is merely fleshly gratification - a man can get a woman pregnant and simply abandon his responsibilities, this is slave culture. A woman feels NO dishonour in having multiple children with multiple fathers and NO wedding ring. This is again only because we are a people devoid of godly dignity. 
 
Dearly beloved, ask God to show you where to look for a godly spouse. 
 
Being unequally yoked is a flagrant disobedience to God’s commands in Deuteronomy 7:3-4. 
 
INTIMACY IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT SPRITUAL UNITY. 
 
THE PURPOSE OF MARRIAGE IS NOT SIMPLY PERSONAL HAPPINESS; IT IS KINGDOM FULFILMENT. 
 
The word “helper” reveals man’s inadequacy, not woman’s inferiority. 
 
Like a proud Father of the bride, God leads the WOMAN to the MAN. Who is the matchmaker? God! When you place yourself in God’s Hand you can trust Him to find you the right partner. 
 
God will ALWAYS give the VERY best to those who LEAVE the choice to Him. 
 
There is a condition to the joining of two to become one. It is to allow Christ to be MASTER of your heart; to be MASTER of your will. 
 
NO man can satisfy every need of a woman and vice versa. Many people naively think that marriage will solve all their problems. NO WAY! Marriage alone does NOT hold or bind two people together – commitment to Christ does. 
 
And for you single folks, sexual pressure is NOT the best motive for getting married; otherwise what will happen when the inevitable sexual urge for your wife begins to wane. 
 
Newsflash: MARRIAGE is NOT about you – it is about God, so the first thing you ought to learn is to dethrone “self” & enthrone Christ* *That is the foundation of your faith it is also the foundation of marriage. 
 
Pray that the Lord does NOT allow your flesh to make the choice for your spouse. 
 
A PERFECT PARTNER does NOT exist. NEVER…never….never, marry someone on the hope that you can change them! NEVER! You did NOT make them, you CANNOT change them. 
 
God will NOT force you to follow His will. 
 
Unless PRAYER is a priority, PROGRESS will NOT be a reality. 
 
When God’s plans are being worked out, patiently wait in prayer. 
 
Don't forget; even the best MARRIAGE CANNOT erase the effects of humanity’s fall! 
Be fully married – spiritually, financially, and mentally. 
 
Remember that God is your Father in law. You didn’t just marry a man or a woman, you married God’s son or God’s daughter. Treat each other right. Your Heavenly Father in law NEVER takes His eyes off His beloved child, so think about how you treat each other. 
 
There is NO perfect soul mate – only ONE sinner meeting another sinner to display the glory of God. 
 
Don’t let a dead relationship pollute or weigh down a living one.

MARRIAGE requires a partnership with God FIRST and foremost. Personal relationship to God is a PREREQUISITE to a godly marriage.

MARRIAGE is a MIRROR. At times we may NOT like what we see, but if we resolve NOT to shy away from the reflection it can be a very valuable spiritual tool.

MARRIAGE was designed to make us grow in HOLINESS, NOT HAPPINESS!

MARRIAGE is showing us what we need to KNOW and pointing out where we need to GROW. If we look to anyone other than God to meet our deepest needs, we are guaranteed FRUSTRATION.

MARRIAGE is to honour God. God gave marriage as a gift to Adam and Eve. They were created perfect for each other.

MARRIAGE was NOT just for convenience, nor was it brought about by any culture. MARRIAGE is ordained by God. it is authored by God, that which

DESIRE is the emotion of longing or hoping for a person, object, or outcome. If the DESIRE is self-centred then it is BAD; it is an act of IDOLATRY in that one has put “self” in the place of God. Good DESIRE is simply the opposite. It is putting the DESIRE for God's will first. 
 
When the Lord is our greatest DESIRE, ALL other DESIRES find their proper expression. 
 
Failing to give God glory is man’s greatest affront to His Creator! 
 
When man rejects the TRUTH, the darkness of spiritual falsehood replaces it! 
 
There is NO greater slavery than to be completely run by our own DESIRES and AFFECTIONS; to be ruled by our vacillating EMOTIONS; to capitulate to our selfish DESIRES. We think that’s what will make us FREE, but it’s the worst kind of SLAVERY there is. 
 
The essence of IDOLATRY is the DESIRE to get something or someone. A man sets up an IDOL and worships it because his MISSION is to cajole God to grant him his plea. To put it bluntly, he believes that by his sacrifices and his gifts and his worship, he can persuade, or even bribe, God into giving him what he DESIRES. 
 
IDOLS are NOT just on pagan altars, but well engraved in Christian HEARTS. 
 
Just like in Exodus when the children of Israel PROSTRATED before the GOLDEN CALF for worship, we have SPREAD EAGLED to worship the SACRED COW of mortals and things! 
 
We are living in a day where churches are full of Gomer’s (Hosea’s wife). 
 
Come out of your Egypt! LEAVE your IDOLATRY behind! Come into TRUE worship with God. TRUE worship begins in the WILDERNESS. 
 
WILDERNESS 101 training is NOT an optional course on the Christian curriculum of faith. The desert trial is COMPULSORY for every Christian! 
 
TRUE faith in God is FAITH that is tested. FAITH that is tested is a FAITH that grows! 
 
History has repeated itself; Spiritual infidelity is now avant-garde, have as many gods as you wish; one for every aspect of life! 
 
Instead of appreciating the glory of the Creator, we give created things that glory which belongs to God ALONE. 
 
When you begin your walk with God, when Jesus becomes the Lord of your life, everyone who decides to walk with Christ, MUST leave their Egypt behind – your past life without Christ, you leave it and you get out, move on and you progress in your walk in Christlikeness – called SANCTIFICATION. 
 
Pastors, recognise the roles you play; you’re NOT superheroes. Today, pastors have become Pharaohs in the church. ALL that kind of attention draws people to you and NOT Christ! The church is Jesus’ bride, NOT yours! You’re just the best man: Stop stealing the bride’s attention and bring her to the Groom! 
 
Christian, STOP IDOLISING THINGS, and CELEBRITIES. Set your affections on things above, NOT on things on the earth! 
 
When one’s experience with the Divine is tied up in a fallible person or thing, the place where Jesus begins, and that person ends become indistinguishable 
 
Egypt is a physical place, a mental place, a spiritual place, a place of spiritual harlotry. Egypt is a type of the world in the morally evil sense; a world of material wealth and power; a world of fleshly wisdom and false religion; a world whose leaders are a figure of Satan; a world that elevates human aggrandisement, ambition, and pleasure. It’s a place you go to when you are running away from God. 
 
Exodus was an expression of Divine Power. God ALONE can deliver you from your Egyptian bondage. Exodus was a marvel of Judgement. Exodus was a marvel of Grace. Exodus was a marvel of Might. Exodus was a marvel of Guidance. Exodus was a marvel of Provision. Exodus was a marvel of Faithfulness. 
 
As the Exodus under Moses meant a NEW LIFE; A NEW LIBERTY; A NEW FELLOWSHIP; AND A NEW ASSURANCE FOR ISRAEL, so the Gospel of Christ means ALL this plus more to the believer. 
 
Exodus opened the way to an earthly Canaan. The Gospel opened the way to the Heavenly Jerusalem. Hallelujah! 
 
Anything that you set your heart on rather than God is an IDOL; anything that motivates you apart from God; anything that masters or rules you; anything that you serve apart from God is an diol Anything that we love and pursue in place of God is an IDOL. 
 
Whatever steals your hearts affection from God and whatever inordinately motivates you is a false god. Anything and everything that takes the place of God in your life is a false god. 
 
God is the ONLY BEING worth our total adoration and love. If we give glory to something or someone else, we are robbing HIM of what is rightfully His. Glory to be God in the Highest, Hallelujah!

We are living in a day where we are influenced by the created rather than the CREATOR. 
 
It is a dereliction of our spiritual responsibilty NOT to pass the torch of faith to our children and the world at large! 
 
"Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord." This testimony of Jehovah is NOT only a declaration of DIVINE TRUTH but a repudiation of human ERROR. 
 
Our God is One – denies ATHEISM with its doctrine of NO God; denies POLYTHEISM with its doctrine of many gods; denies FATALISM with its doctrine of chance; denies EVOLUTION with its doctrine of infinite becoming; denies PANTHEISM which makes god and the universe identical; denies MATERIALISM which asserts the eternity of matter. It denies ALL the principal false philosophies which men have propounded. It refutes ALL human error and philosophies. 
 
Jesus Christ is Lord. Now this word, Lord; means having POWER and AUTHORITY. The GREAT COMMISSION is based on the claims of our Saviour’s Lordship, “Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth; go ye therefore and teach all nations baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost and teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you; and Lo I am with you always even unto the end of the world.” 
 
Lord means OWNERSHIP; His Lordship is based on His OWNERSHIP of ALL that is within the earth and above. He’s the OWNER; He is our SUPREME influence.

Why? Because we are finite; we are imperfect. God alone knows the way to go. So, how do we know which way to go? We need wisdom. We need the wisdom of God to know which way to go. And before you ask, no human wisdom can show you which way to go. I like the way John Legend the RnB artist puts it in one of his songs, “We don’t know which way to go because we are ordinary people. He is bang on! In this age of information, knowledge is plentiful, but wisdom is scarce. There is a vast difference between being smart and being wise – smart is what the world gives; wise is what only God gives. Smart people can perform all kinds of technological wonders; they can find stars invisible to the eyes, visit space, and store volumes of information on a microchip; but even the greatest scientist are at a loss to discover the way to the wisdom of God. Only God can show you where to find wisdom because He alone is the source of wisdom; He is wisdom. True wisdom is having God’s perspective on life and it starts by fearing Him 
 Job gracefully delineates man's ignorance of the PRICE (you cannot buy it) and the PLACE (you don’t know where it is) of wisdom. Neither he nor nature knows the place of it: neither all living, nor the deep, nor the sea; and as for its price. Though man is prepared to give any high price for the costly stones and jewels of the earth, yet all that he has cannot buy Him the wisdom of God. It is the gift (that which is not earned but given) of Divine wisdom yields that greatest treasures. Wisdom is to know God. Wisdom is the ability to understand the Divine perspective and applying it to life comes from God alone. He is the only source. If you are going to become wise, you have to get to know God through His Word and take Him seriously. Fear of the Lord is the root of the plant of wisdom. What is the fear of the Lord? The fear of the Lord is a state of mind in which one’s own attitude, will, feelings, deeds, and goals are exchanged for Gods; that is, a Kingdom citizen, pursuing a Kingdom Agenda, living a Kingdom life. Wisdom is not “knowing good and evil.” Wisdom is knowing good from evil. The first verse of Job tells us that, “Job was blameless and upright, one who (what?) FEARED God and turned away from (what?) evil.” The fear of God turned him from evil; the Bible says in Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Wow! The root of wisdom is embedded in the fear of the Lord. The first step to wisdom is to “fear the Lord.” , to honour and respect God; to live in awe of His power.
