God's Timing Galatians 3:4-5 
 
Timing is maybe the fundamental bits of power. 
 
In all honesty, the qualification between an exceptional pioneer and a defenseless pioneer isn't just acknowledging what to do yet acknowledging when to do it. The condition is everything. 
 
The difference between a speaker who holds your thought and one who doesn't is all in the situation. 
 
If you don't dominate timing, you'll fight with power. 
 
God has a timetable for everything that happens. 
 
God had been telling the world for centuries that he was going to send a Savior. 
But God waited thousands of years for just the right time to send his Son. 
 
Why didn’t God send him sooner? 
 
God had his own timetable for Christmas. 
 
The Bible says, 
“But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children”. 
 
We don’t know why God sent Jesus when he did, but we know it was the right time to do what he wanted to do. 
 
The same is true in your ministry. 
God has a timetable. 
You may not know what it is right now, but you can trust that his timing is perfect. 
 
My friend, God is not in a hurry. He has a timetable that he will fulfill. 
 
His timing is always perfect. 
 
#Be intentional.

Compelling Purpose 
You need a vision that drives you forward. 
Nehemiah had that. When some of Nehemiah’s enemies tried to entice him into leaving his work, he responded, “I am doing a great work” Nehemiah 6:3 NCV. 
Nehemiah was very single-minded. 
He committed to his project because he realized he was doing something that mattered. 
 
Great lives are produced when they’re committed to a great cause—and the greatest cause is the Kingdom of God. 
Nothing else lasts for eternity. 
Too many leaders get distracted with trivial matters. 
If you want to lead your church to accomplish a great task, start by making God’s Kingdom your priority. Leave everything else behind. 
 
So ask yourself: 
 
Do you have a compelling purpose that drives you forward? 
How’s your spiritual sensitivity? 
Are you praying constantly for what God has called you to do? 
Are you persistent in doing God’s will? 
Everything rises and falls on leadership.

Compelling Purpose

You also need to be able to see trouble ahead of you. 
As a leader, anytime you attempt something big, trouble will come your way. 
Nehemiah had incredible discernment. 
Every time a trap came up, he sensed it. 
For example, he knew what his critics were planning: 
“They were planning to harm me” Nehemiah 6:2. 
And when these same men accused him of setting himself up as a king to eventually rebel against the Persian king, Artaxerxes, Nehemiah said, “Our enemies were trying to scare us” Nehemiah 6:9. 
 
How did Nehemiah know this? He was perceptive. 
 
You’ll need this kind of perception as a leader, and you can only get it one way. 
James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God” James 1:5. 
When you spend time in the Word of God, you begin to take on the mind of Christ and become a more perceptive leader. 
 
So ask yourself: 
 
Do you have a compelling purpose that drives you forward? 
How’s your spiritual sensitivity? 
Are you praying constantly for what God has called you to do? 
Are you persistent in doing God’s will?

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." 
 
James 1:5 
 
Need wisdom? 
We all do. And the good news is that God wants to give it to you. He is eager to do so. 
 
Just like it pleased God when Solomon asked for wisdom 
1 Kings 3:7-14, it pleases God when we ask for wisdom. 
 
It's God's nature to give. He is a giving God. 
 
The Bible says in James 1:5,

We all do. And the good news is that God wants to give it to you. He is eager to do so.
