Psalm 66:1-4 - All Creations Sings God's Praise - May 7, 2017

God is doing something amazing at Guinston and beyond. After a challenging time and a disappointing vote, a local church had split over deep differences over important theological issues. Half of the congregation that couldn't stay tied to their denomination sadly felt that they had no choice but to leave the church they loved. God led them to contact Guinston where He would give them a place to start anew, not as a part of Guinston but as their own church. He had given them "new hope." In the cold dark months of January, 2017 God had a purpose and a plan in which His light and his warm love would not be stifled. Listen as Pastor Daniel tells the story of God's plan to bring "New Hope" into the lives of many people here in southern York County.

1 John 3:11-18 - New Hope - January 29, 2017 (James 2:14-17)

In southern York, hard work is highly values and respected. Many people today see hard work as the means by which we earn salvation. In Romans 9:31-33 Paul explains that hard work and clean living is not enough to save someone from God's judgment. 
 
No one can work hard enough, or live clean enough to go to Heaven. How does one get there? Listen as Pastor Daniel explains this as we study the end of Romans 9.

Romans 9:31-33 - When Hard Work Fails: A Stumbling Stone

The four weeks leading up to Christmas are called Advent, because advent is a word that means coming and it is a time to prepare our hearts for the celebration arrival of Jesus.  Each week we light a candle on the Advent Wreath and focus on something that Jesus brings with Him.  Pastor Daniel preaches from Romans this year and focuses on the Advent themes.
