From Tadpole to Home Sapiens? (Genesis 1:24-27)

Grace, grace, marvelous grace – those may be familiar words to you, for they are words that Christians often sing and justifiably so. After all God’s grace is indeed marvelous and this morning we examine why.

What’s So Great About Grace? (Genesis 6:6-8)

As we make our way through life our priorities often change. Yet as believers our ultimate priorities must never change, whether we’re 18 or 81!

Permanent Priorities! (Philippians 4:20-23)

Who is the first person to come to mind when you think of wisdom? You will think of Solomon – the “wisest man in the East and all of Egypt” 1 Kings 4:30. But how did Solomon’s life end when he asked for a different type of wisdom involving leading Israel economically and militarily? Solomon involved himself in different pleasures, had wealth that could not be compared, and focused on the material. At the end of it all, he realized just how pointless it was to pursue human wisdom. Earthly wisdom is bankrupt and is a ‘striving after the wind’ (Eccl. 1: 16). James explains how Godly wisdom produces the Fruit of the Spirit and beatitudes. Now ask yourself, am I characterized by good conduct? Am I wise and understanding? Am I focused on peace? Am I striving after the wind? Am I sowing seeds of righteousness? Do I pursue theology for humility and love? Do I understand the difference between knowledge and discernment?
