There is a type of song where the lyrics are not sung but spoken. For this reason, it is called “spoken word.” There is often music playing behind the spoken lyrics. It is in the light of this that we look at Jesus’ prayer in John 17:20-26. As Jesus winds down His “High Priestly” Prayer, after praying for Himself and His disciples, Jesus begins to pray for us. Seriously!!! Jesus prays for all who would believe in Him through the words of the disciples. This prayer serves as the perfect reminder of who we are, what we are seeking to accomplish, and why we do what we do.

We have now reached the conclusion of our series on 1 Corinthians 13 called "The Greatest." The Apostle Paul reminds us that we are to abide in faith, hope and love. We are to find our home in Christ and stay there. There is to be no straying or wandering. Instead we are to be settled in the everlasting arms of Jesus. But of these triplets of Christian grace (as they have been historically called), the greatest is love.

They devote their lives to the acquisition of wealth, only to find that money can only buy the things money can buy. So life has a tendency to leave us hanging. 
 
However, with God there is a better way. God desires to grant to humanity a view of a more excellent way. Today's message will contain four keys to a better life for the follower of Jesus.

Can you believe that it is the last Sunday in 2013? Where did this year go? For the Crossroads community, this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. God has done so much in our midst. It would be unbelievable if we didn't believe in the God of the possible!Looking back and pressing forward is the perfect year-end message for us as a family of faith and as individuals. As we rejoice in what God has done, we will also be encouraged to press forward into the new year. God has a plan for 2014 and we want to be in step with His Spirit. See you Sunday!

On behalf of the entire Crossroads family, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. The number "three" is often symbolic in the Bible of unity or totality. This Christmas Eve we will be reflecting on the story of the wise men who are seeking Jesus to bring Him gifts. It is amazing when you notice the recurring reality of groups of three in this story. Therefore, we have entitled this message, "Oh Christmas Three."

Our Life is Messy series, through the book of Ephesians, comes to a close this week.  It has been an amazing journey as we have continually seen Jesus as Lord over the mess.  We have seen how God works.  We have seen how we are meant to live in light of God's love and grace.  Our series closes with an unsettling reality:  that we are in a spiritual battle.  Because there is a battle raging all around us, we need to be warriors in the midst of the mess.  Although the battle rages, we are more than conquerors in Christ.
