I’ve been told what to take off. I’ve been told what I’ve become in this new man. I’ve been told what to put on, and now I’m told how to wear it. One thing to put on the uniform, it’s another thing to wear it.
Context: Paul is explaining that they don’t need to listen to an new teaching because they have already been transformed into a new man. He explains to them what to take off (the old man) and what to put on as the new man. Now he takes us into how to wear the uniform we put on.
A. Love – is the overcoat, the outer garment that protects everything else.
1 John 3:10 - 11
B. Peace – is the way one feels inside and conducts themselves outwardly.
John 1427 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Phil 47 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

C. Word – we allow the word to stay in us and manifest in our decisions and expressions of faith.
D. Good Works – we should limit our actions in accordance with good works.
