Jesus said, "In this world, you will have trouble." He also said, "Pick up your cross and follow me." We do damage to ourselves and others and cannot live in peace when we attempt to steer clear of the pain that comes from 1) our fallen world, and 2) the sacrifice required if we are to love people and follow God. But we can go through anything with peace when we go through with Jesus. He says, "...but behold, I have overcome the world."---
