Thanks for joining us this Sunday! What is my relationship to the law now that I am a Christian? In Chapter 7 we see the great theme of “What the law could not do, Christ did!” Chapter 7 ends in a climactic conclusion. “Wretched man that I am, who will save me from this body of death?” After dealing with many hard questions and unpacking the struggle between the flesh and the spirit, Paul ends with the greatest news we could ever hear. Who can save us? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! The law is the mirror by which we see the truth of who we are. We are public enemy #1. The gospel frees us from slavery and gives us the power through the Holy Spirit to overcome.
