Remember the miracle...a bigger one is coming
*because of the nature of Jeremiahs calling and the perils he would face, Jeremiah is told to not marry and not to have children (v2-3) He also faces knowing he will not be liked and not mourned for when he dies
*the Lord tells him to remember His lovingkindness and goes on to teach that a greater miracle than the parting of the Red Sea will come in the restoration of the scattered 10 tribes
*comparing the gathering to fishing and hunting, the Lord says He will send fishers and hunters to find and gather from all places. Fishers and Hunters being missionaries, including us...anyone who is on the Lord's errand is fishing and finding and gathering scattered Israel. How are you fishing and gathering?
