There is only one reason to use the idea of “birth pangs”: Something wonderful is coming, but first it is really going to hurt! God uses the phrase “birth pangs” several times, and one of those is here in Micah’s prophecies. Today we consider what birth pangs are like, what God promises at the end, and how we might live well in the birth pangs of our present age.
