When Jesus came to his own town, people did not accept him. They asked, "Isn't he the carpenter's son?..." And Jesus said, "Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor." It is true that our tendency is not to recognize the greatness of our own people. Let us pray that we change and learn to appreciate our own relatives and friends, people of our own community.
