Abraham lies about Sarai being his wife in Egypt calling her his sister. Pharaoh takes Sarai as his own wife then is struck by plagues from God and sends Abram and Sarai out of Egypt.
Abram and Lot have a conflict over the land for their herdsmen and Abram tells lot to choose whatever land he wants and that he will go to opposite direction. Lot chooses the land by Sodom.
4 kings--including those of Sodom and Gomorrah--rebel against Chedorlaomer by not paying tribute to him and they lose the war. Lot is captured and Abram leads a mercenary army of 318 to rescue Lot. When he returns he meets Melchizedek who is an important Old Testament type of Jesus Christ and highlights the importance of Jesus as High Priest.
