Live Stream Service (17 October 2021) – Hosea 11:12-12:9 (From Jacob to Israel)

An American Missionary

“If ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ were candy and nuts, we’d all have a merry Christmas”, was a favorite saying of Monday Night Football announcer Don Meredith. When Howard Cosell would blather on about “if” this and “if” that we could count on Don to puncture Cosell’s balloon with his favorite phrase. One of the problems with football today (besides its sheer brutality) is too many games require too many announcers who use too many meaningless clichés. When they start the “what if” blather I wish ol’ Don would pop up and puncture their balloon. 
 
While it may get monotonous in football there are genuine reasons and appropriate times for “if” statements. It is a simple word used to introduce the idea of a conditional situation. Typically it is used in the form of an “if this then that” sentence. Sometimes it relates to somewhat connected situations such as “If I get in late, then don’t wait up.” They’re only connected if you want them to be. Sometimes it relates to fundamentally connected situations that absolutely depend on one another such as “If you won’t take me, then I can’t go.” 
 
Those “if this then that” situations are insignificant compared to the conditional nature of human salvation. When Solomon built the temple God reminded him that if Solomon continued walking in His law God would keep His promise. “(I)f you will walk in My statutes and execute My ordinances and keep all my commandments by walking in them, then I will carry out My word with you which I spoke to David your father. I will dwell among the sons of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.”(1 Kings 6:12-13). Eventually Solomon and the nation failed and God punished them in captivity. 
 
Today God offers salvation as a gift (Ephesians 2:8) to those who will come to Him in obedient faith. The believer becomes an Israelite by spiritual birth and God will dwell with him (or her). However, receiving and holding on to the gift are still conditioned on faith. It is a required response on our part. In Ephesians 2:8 salvation is the gift and faith is the condition. In Hebrews 11:6 God said that without faith “it’s impossible to please Him” and that “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” 
 
If we refuse to meet God’s conditions and diligently seek Him by faith then we’re treating God Himself with the irreverence of a Don Meredith saying. Dwelling with God depends on your response. The choice is yours. Will you do what God says and seek Him diligently by faith or treat the gift He has offered like a Dandy Don joke?

I have been preaching and teaching Bible for over 50 years. In 1957, I began studying the scriptures diligently after graduating from high school. In 1980, God began dealing with me, bringing me to what I believed was my deathbed in 1985. In the hospital, I awoke near death crying out to God, "Lord, You are going to kill me if I don't quit living for myself and saying all the truth in my power!!!" Thereafter, I began to say these blunt plain words that appeal to the elect sheep. As a result, I began to make more enemies than I could have ever imagined. I was sick and tired of the “mush” gospel that churches were preaching. My family was confused, and on many occasions on the way home from church, my wife would say, "he said such-and-such last week and he said this-and-that this week contradicting what he said the previous week." I began to say to my wife Mary, "don't listen to the preacher, because he doesn't know what he’s talking about." Finally, I said, "this is a waste of time! We are going home. We are not going to these churches anymore. I will teach you from our home." Please help get this message out to God's predestinated elect family. 
 
God Has Chosen 
Romans 8:29-30 - "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." 
 
Foreknow - to have a personal intimate relationship beforehand. 
 
God predetermined that all who belonged to him before the foundation of the world were to "conform" to the word of God in obedience to Christ. 
 
All that were predestined were "called", "justified", and "glorified" (past tense verbs). These were fixed in the mind of God before the world began. (Ephesians 1:4; Acts 13:48; II Thessalonians 2:13). The election of the saints is unto accountability (I Peter 1:2). 
 
The majority of the protestant church held to this doctrine during the reformation. It is the foundation of "The London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689". You Baptists are supposed to be believing it and you've discarded this precious doctrine of Grace !!!

Our History: The ministry grew from a two-year journey of preaching and reading through the Bible, shared by the congregation of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church in 2000 and 2001. Colin Smith, Senior Pastor at The Orchard, served as the preaching pastor throughout these two intentional years of reading through Scripture. The journey led to the publication of a series of four books entitled Unlocking the Bible Story, followed by Ten Keys for Unlocking the Bible, Open the Bible in 30 Days, Ten Keys to Unlock the Christian Life, and The Ten Greatest Struggles of Your Life.

Faithful Servants Of Christ

Christmas ("Christ-Mass") is a Roman Catholic holiday that was borrowed from the pagan European religions. Brother Bryan Denlinger misuses and takes Romans 14:5 out of context to justify celebrating the heathen Catholic holiday of Christmas, and Bryan Denlinger is in sin for learning the way of the heathen and getting his followers to unknowingly learn the way of the heathen (Jeremiah 10:2-4). 
 
Nowhere in scripture are we commanded to observe the birth of Jesus Christ and nowhere in scripture do we see any examples of Jesus Christ or any of his disciples celebrating and observing the birth of Jesus Christ with decorated trees, giving gifts, or going Christmas caroling. 
 
Nowhere in scripture is Christ's birth a holy day. You can't Christianize a heathen Roman Catholic holiday. 
 
Ecclesiastes 1:15 (KJV) - "That which is crooked cannot be made straight..." 
 
Job 14:4 (KJV) - "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one." 
 
Bryan Denlinger is in very serious sin and error, and he may lose rewards for misleading his followers into believing they can celebrate a heathen Roman Catholic holiday and that a heathen Roman Catholic holiday like Christmas can somehow be Christianized.
