Zac Poonen ( - Present)

God called brother Zac Poonen to a new work early on in his Christian experience. The movement is now called Christian Fellowship Churches where the New Covenant of New Testament Christianity is clearly preached.

Brother Zac Poonen has written 25 books most of them being on the deeper Christian life. Many of these have been translated into a number of languages and have been circulated widely around the world. He clearly and passionately shares the narrow way of Christian discipleship that is neglected by so many modern preachers.

Amazing Faith of a Godly Mother

We read in 2 Kings 4:8-37 of a woman - a prominent, rich, wealthy and influential woman - who was also blessed by Elisha's ministry. God does not choose only the poor and the illiterate and the uneducated to bless. He has no partiality. He chose an illiterate Peter, but He also chose a highly educat... Read More

An End Of Ourselves

It is not the size of a work that impresses God. The world looks for size and numbers. But God is looking for works of faith - even if they be the size of mustard seeds. And so, when God brings us to an end of ourselves, hedging us in on every side and shattering our hopes, let us take heart! He is ... Read More

An Example

A spiritual leader will be such an example to others, that he will be able to say to them, "Follow me as I follow Christ". He will seek to lead others to be connected to Christ alone as their Head. Many Christian leaders, however, seek to attach believers to themselves. And they're happy when those ... Read More

Are you making disciples or converts?

What obedience to the great commission actually involves It is a common mistake among believers to be taken up with one Scripture on a subject, to the exclusion of other Scriptures on the same subject. Satan tempted our Lord with the words "It is written ..." (Mt.4:6). But the Lord rejected the temp... Read More

Arresting The Downward Trend

In Rev. Chs.2, 3 & 4 when we look at the five messengers and churches that are rebuked by the Lord we see in them a definite downward trend: (1) In Ephesus, we see the loss of first love for the Lord. When we lose our devotion for Christ, we have taken the first step downwards. In a little while, th... Read More

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT There are two needs that we all have. The first relates to the past - the forgiveness of our sins. The second relates to the future - enablement to live a life that pleases God. Our first need is taken care of by the death of Christ. To meet the second, God gives us the po... Read More

Baptism in the Three-fold Name

Jesus commanded us to baptize "in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit " (Matt. 28:20). The Name is singular because God is One. But Jesus revealed that although God is One, He exists in Three Persons, Who are distinct from each other. It wasn't the Father who died for our sins, nor was i... Read More

BAPTISM IN WATER

One of the last things Jesus commanded His disciples before ascending up to heaven was to: (i) Go and make disciples; (ii) baptize them in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and (iii) teach them to obey everything that He had commanded. The order is important here. Only those who were will... Read More

Be "In The Spirit" Every Day In The New Year (2013)

John received a revelation on the Lord's Day (Rev 1:10). The first day of the week was called "the Lord's day" because that was the day that Jesus rose from the dead, having conquered sin, Satan, death and the grave. The early disciples met together on the first day of every week, to build one anoth... Read More

Be an Ambassador of Jesus Christ

Paul was an Ambassador of Jesus Christ (2 Cor.5:20). There are 12 marks of an Ambassador of Jesus Christ. Think of these marks in your life. 1. He was called by God (2 Cor.1:1). "An apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God." He did not call himself. God called him. This is very important. Don't go... Read More

Be Centred In God – And Not In Yourselves

There were two trees in the garden of Eden – and they represented two ways of life. The tree of life symbolized a life centred in God – where God would be the centre of every decision made by man. The tree of knowledge of good and evil on the other hand, symbolized a life where Self would be the cen... Read More

Be Diligent to Preserve the Unity of the Spirit in the Bond of Peace

"Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he's in trouble.....And one standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer; three is even better... Be Filled With The Holy Spirit

I saw a cartoon once of the disciples waiting in the upper room to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:12-14). (We know now that they waited for ten days, but at that time, none of them knew how long they would have to wait.) One of them walks out of the door on the ninth day, saying that he is t... Read More

Be Rooted And Grounded In What God Has Done For Us "IN CHRIST"

Our salvation began in God's mind. It was He Who "chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world" (Eph.1:4). We love Him because He first loved us (1 Jn.4:19). In Ephesians, Paul describes first of all what God has done for us (Chapters 1 to 3). Only then does he proceed to describe what we m... Read More

Be Saved From the Spirit of the Antichrist

It is written in Revelation 13:4 - And they worshipped the dragon, because he gave authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast saying, 'Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?' The whole earth now worships Satan. This is what Satan has always wanted from the beginning.... Read More

Becoming A Blessing

The gifts of the Spirit are compared in 1 Cor.12 to the organs of the human body - the eye, the ear, the hands and the feet. We need eyes to see, ears to hear, hands to help others and feet to take us to different parts of this world. Even so, God has given us these gifts of the Spirit, so that a ne... Read More

As soon as you're converted, you need to seek out and join a fellowship of disciples who are eager to obey God's Word and to follow in Jesus' footsteps. Being a Dignified Ambassador for Christ

In 2 Corinthians 5:20, we read, "We are ambassadors for Christ, and we are entreating you." It is a tremendous calling to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ. Being Faithful With Money

What did Jesus mean when He said that we were to give to God what was due to God? Did He mean that we were to give Him our tithes (10% of our income). Under the old covenant, that was all that the Israelites had to give to God. That was God's due. Once they had done that, the rest was their own. But... Read More
