DISCIPLESHIP

When Jesus told His apostles to go into every nation and to make disciples, they had no doubt in their minds as to what He meant. (Matt. 28:19). For He had already explained what it meant to be His disciple. Luke 14: 25-35 reveals most clearly the three conditions of discipleship. There Jesus speaks... Read More

Divine Discipline

In order to fulfil His promises to Jacob, God had to discipline him severely. Jacob required twenty years of Divine chastening to come to the point where he would accept God's highest for his life. First of all, God placed alongside another shrewd person. Laban was just as smart as Jacob, and as the... Read More

Do Not Adulterate the Word of God

In 2 Cor. 4:2, we read Paul saying "We have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God." We can never come into God's rest, if there is anything of dishonesty or craftiness in our lives. In the past, there were one or two brothers who join... Read More

Do You Accuse or Do You Intercede?

We read in Revelation 12:10 that Satan is the `Accuser of the brothers', and that he accuses them before God day and night. This is a full time ministry that Satan is engaged in. And in this ministry he has many co-workers - both among his evil spirits as well as among men. The sad fact is that ther... Read More

Doing the Will of God Consistently

"I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me" (Jn.6:38). Jesus tells us here in His own words what He came on earth to do. And in this one sentence, we have a description of how Jesus lived every single day of His life on earth. The thirty years of Jesus' life in ... Read More

Don’t Be Impressed by the Numerical Growth of a Church

We must remember that God is not impressed by the numerical growth of a church, if it is not growing spiritually. Paul told the Christians at Corinth that God would humble him through their carnal state (Read 2 Cor.12:20, 21). Why shouldPaul feel humiliated by the carnality of the Corinthians? Becau... Read More

Don’t Miss God’s Will in Your Marriage

God alone can lead you to the person best suited to be your life-partner. In fact He is eager to do so if you will listen to Him. The Bible teaches that God has a plan for the lives of each of His children (Eph. 2:10). If that is true, then you cannot but believe that God has already planned whether... Read More

Don’t Remain As a Baby in the Christian Life

In Hebrews 6:1-3, the writer speaks about pressing on to maturity. In Chapter 5, he uses the illustration of drinking milk and eating meat. Now he uses two more illustrations: First, the example of elementary teaching and advanced teaching; and then the example of the foundation of a building and it... Read More

Don’t View Others with Contempt

"Jesus spoke this parable to some people who viewed others with contempt" (Luke 18:9). There are various reasons why people view others with contempt. They may have been taught by their parents from childhood to look down on others who are inferior in social status, or wealth, or education, etc. Or,... Read More

Don't Let Past Failures Discourage You

In Luke 18:13 - NASB, The tax-collector prayed saying "God be merciful to me THE sinner." He called himself, "THE sinner". Don’t let men move you. Let God alone move you

In Genesis 12:1, we see the beginning of the building of the true Jerusalem. This began with Abraham through whom came the nation of Israel, the capital of which was Jerusalem. Jesus said in John 16:33 "In the world YOU HAVE TRIBULATION. But take courage; I have overcome the world" . End the Year with a Spirit of Thanksgiving

The Lord told Joshua that every place on which his feet trod would be given to him (Joshua 1:3), and that no man would be able to stand before him throughout his life (Joshua 1:5).
