The Word of God Divides Between Soul and Spirit

In Hebrews 4:12, we read "The Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." The word of God divides between soul and spirit (4:12). The... Read More

The Word of the Cross

Chapter 53 of Isaiah is the chapter of the cross and begins with a question: "Who has believed our message?" Who in Israel would believe what Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would come, not with power, but as a despised person, as a root out of a dry ground? "He grew up before His Father" (Isa.53... There is a God-Ordained variety in the Body of Christ

God uses our different temperaments and gifts to present a balanced picture of Christ to the world. By ourselves, each of us can at best present only a distorted and unbalanced image of Christ. Any single person's ministry, by itself, could produce unbalanced Christians. How thankful we have to be t... Read More

Thine Is The Kingdom The Power And The Glory Forever

The prayer that Jesus taught his disciples ends with these words, "Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever" (Matt.6:13-KJV). All these three belong to God alone. 1. Thine is the Kingdom The phrase "the kingdom of God" can be better understood in our day as "the government of God", sin... Read More

Third Requirement For Spiritual Progress-Word Of God

Right from the first paragraph of Scripture, we see the Holy Spirit operating along with God's Word. The spoken Word of God and the brooding of the Holy Spirit (Gen.1:3), brought beauty and order out of chaos. That is how God can bring beauty and order into our lives too. The power of the Holy Spiri... Read More

Three Certainties

"They will fight against you…They will not overcome you… I am with you to deliver you" (Jer 1:19). There are three things that are absolutely certain for the disciples of the Lord, as we see in the above verse. (1) Satan and his agents will fight against us. (2) They will not overcome us. (3) The Lo... Read More

Three Challenging Psalms

Psalm 1 describes the blessed man who avoids sinful paths and meditates on God's Word. It is not enough to avoid evil. The heart that has been cleansed of evil must be filled with God's Word. To meditate on God's Word day and night means to think frequently of the Word that we have read and to let i... Read More

Three Conditions for Being a Spokesman for God

In Jeremiah 15:16-21, we see three conditions to be a spokesman for God. First of all: "Lord, I found Your words, and Your word has become for me the joy and delight of my heart" (Jer. 15:16). God's word must be the joy and delight of your heart. Just like a businessman has joy in making money, your... Read More

Three Dangerous Sins

1. Impurity: Impurity enters into our hearts mainly through our eyes and our ears. This impurity then comes out from our hearts and expresses itself through the various members of our bodies - primarily through our tongues and our eyes. Three Important Exhortations

1. Be continually filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph.5:18- Literal). It is impossible to live the Christian life, as God wants us to, if we are not continually filled with the Holy Spirit. It is impossible to serve God as we should without being anointed with the Spirit and receiving His supernatural ... Read More

Three Marks of a Spiritul Man

"I could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh" (1Co. 3:1). We read in 1Co. 1:5,7 that the Corinthian Christians excelled in three areas - knowledge of the Scriptures, preaching and the gifts of the Spirit. Yet in spite of having all these, they were not spiritual. It is rare ... Read More

Three Reasons for Falling Into Sin

One of the reasons why people keep falling into sin is, because they have not understood that their own flesh, their own human personality, and the human being that they are, their human strength - is totally impotent to do the will of God. We, in our own strength, can never, never, never overcome s... Read More

True And False Prophets

Two Powerful Truths

God detests all that this world considers great "That which men esteem highly is detestable in God's sight" (Luke 16:15). The things that are considered great in the world, not only have no value in God's eyes, but are actually an abomination to Him. Since all worldly honour is an abomination to God... Read More
