"No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." (John 8:10-11 NIV) 
 
Lord, thank you for bringing righteousness and grace to us. You never overlook any kinds of sin because you did so, there would be no righteousness. Sin and evil must be judged. As the scripture says, there is no one righteous, not even one. Because none of us are perfect, all us are guilty before your righteousness. We are so sensitive to others’ wrong doings but so blind about our sins. We always expect our sins are quickly forgiven but hold a grudge against what others did to us, even a small thing, and do not want to forgive. We are so selfish. Lord, you are righteous and grace at the same time. Instead of judging us immediately, you bore our sins and paid all the cost on the cross and gave us a second chance. And you do not leave us alone but give us your Spirit, the Holy Spirit as our advocate. Oh such a wonderful grace you gave us. Lord, we do not want to go back to the previous life. Lead our transformation journey toward being more like you every day so that we may reflect your grace and righteousness. In Jesus name, amen.

“Then the king gave his ruling: "Give the living baby to the first woman. Do not kill him; she is his mother." When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.” (1 Kings 3:27-28 NIV) 
 
Lord, you are our justice. You always play fairly. You do not look at outside but inside. There is nothing can hide from your eye. Lord, help us to live in truth always. Help us to live in the light of truth and give us a soft and humble heart so that we will be honest before you. We do not want to have double standard, permissive with ourselves but harsh with others. Lord, help us to be kind and merciful toward others as you are kind and merciful toward us. Help us demonstrate truth by love as you brought truth by love. Holy Spirit, come upon us and fill us and dwell in us. We offer ourselves and worship you in truth and spirit all day long. So that, when we stand before you, we will hear you say, “Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share your master's happiness!” In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you Jesus that you experienced death and went to even hell. You know how hard our suffering is. Because of pain and sorrow, we sometimes feel it might be better if we would die, like Job mourned “Why is light given to those in misery, and life to the bitter of soul, to those who long for death that does not come?” Lord, your mercy is far greater than our imagination. You went to hell. You experienced the total darkness and complete hopelessness. You know those conditions. But the death could not hold you. You conquered the death! That is our hope. Lord, look at our lives. We are like living in hell. We are longing for your victory. Lord Jesus, you are only our hope. In Jesus name, amen.

No Power Over Jesus (John 19:1-11)

A Prayer of the Day. Dear Jesus, thank you for revealing yourself among us. You are our teacher who demonstrates the grace and truth. You are our prophet who shares the will of God for us. You are our Savior who is the Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world. You are our King who rules us by truth, mercy, justice and love. You are our God who created us and gave us life. You are our friend who is right beside us always. Thank you Holy Spirit, for leading us into this truth of Jesus. Without your help, you are in the darkness, cannot see who Jesus is and cannot believe in Him. Oh Holy Spirit, can you please open people’s mind to see who Jesus is? As you could open our minds, you can open others too. Break the chains which bind people with Satan’s deception. Remove the stones which prevent people to come to you. Thank you Father for your loving kindness. In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you Jesus for your total obedience to the Father’s will to be eternal sacrifice on the cross to redeem us. By your blood, you brought us back to your light from the darkness. You made us the righteousness of God, children of God, and heirs of the kingdom. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving us new life. You are transforming us from glory to glory. By your power, we reflect to the glory of God. Lord, we pray for our loved ones who have not believed you yet. Oh Lord, move the mountains which prevent them to accept you as their Savior. Break the chains which keep them away from coming to you. Open their eyes to see how beautiful you are. Heal their mouths to confess their sins and ask forgiveness. Lord, you are awesome in power. You do great things which are beyond our understanding. You designed the universe so beautifully. We are amazed the beauty of sunset. The color changes so dramatically, and it never be the same, it is different every day. And, you created the space and put the stars. Looking at starts and thinking of how big the galaxy is, we are totally knocked down. What you can do is totally beyond our understanding. At the same time, you know all details, even the numbers of our hairs. Oh Lord, you humbly come before you and worship you. Thank you for being our God and accepting our worship. Lord, please remember your children. Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong. You reign forever. You established your throne for judgment. You will judge the world in righteousness. You will govern the peoples with justice. Lord, thank you for listening to our prayers. You have already known our thoughts before we speak, but you are happy to listen to us. Lord, it is such a blessing we have that Lord, God Almighty knows us, loves us, and concerns us. Lord, we are sorry for the times we neglect of you. We are sorry for the days we focus on something else more than you. We are so sorry that we rely on something else more than you. Oh Lord, forgive us and renew our joy of salvation. Thank you for the gift of repentance. Your kindness leads us to repent, returning back to you. Once we lost but now we come back to you. Lord, hold us close to you, closer to you more and more. Do not let us go please. And, Lord, how can we share this wonderful joy with others? We want them to have this joy too, but they refuge to listen to us. What can we do? How can we relate to them? Lord, you are our healer. Your name has power of healing. When you sent the disciples, you gave them power and authority to cast out demons and to heal all diseases. And, you promised that these signs will accompany those who believe: in your name, they will cast out demons and place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. We believe you are the same yesterday, today and forever. Oh Lord, why did we lose the power? Are there any sins which prevent the power? We will come to you and ask your forgiveness. Cleanse us by your precious blood and cover us by your grace. COVIT-19 is still spreading out powerfully. There are many sick people who have no access to medications and hospitals. They can have hope only in you. Oh Lord, have mercy us, show your grace upon them. In Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, thank you for giving us the Bible. We are so delighted having a whole Bible, 66 books all together. We shouldn’t take it granted. There are some who are in danger just having the Bible. We must diligently read it like eating bread. All your words are true and inspired by your Spirit. Your word is living and active. It’s sharper than any double-edged sword. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. And, we are so thankful for all people’s efforts of uncovering its meaning. They committed themselves to study the word and understand the meaning and explain. Lord, help us to be humble to study your word. Guide us to live out the meaning and testify how true your word is. And, equip us so that we can correctly explain the word of truth. Help us to be living examples of your word. In Jesus name. Amen.

Acts 8:30 (a prayer of the day)

A Prayer of the Day. The officers stationed themselves behind the people of Judah who were building the wall. The common laborers carried on their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon.” (Nehemiah 4:16-17 NLT) 
 
Lord, thank you for this great lesson. The Israelites understood that rebuilding the wall was a battle. Their enemy tried to stop them. They mocked them, what they were doing was useless. They used the power and authority. But the people of Israel didn’t give up, rather they faced the enemy. Because they understood what they were doing was very important, something they must finish, so they continue to work. And they worked together in one mind for one vision. Lord, this is a great model for us. We often forget that we are in the spiritual battle. Our enemy does like to see that we build our lives according to the Word. He discourages us by his lie that we can’t finish it. And he wants us to believe that our loved ones never believe our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Each time, we meet our non-Christian family members and friends, oh Lord, remind us that we are in the spiritual battle. Oh Lord, we are powerless for this battle, but we can make it because you are strong and you are in us. Each time, we argue among Christians, oh Lord, help us to remember that we have one mind, the mind of Christ, and we have one vision that your kingdom comes and your name is glorified. In Jesus name. Amen.

And throughout the rest of his lifetime, they did not turn away from the LORD, the God of their ancestors.” (2 Chronicles 34:33 NLT) 
 
Lord, our hearts are grieving as our loved ones worship false gods. Their minds are bound by tradition and superstition, and they believe a life means to follow those. They close their ears to hear the Gospel. Lord, we know this is a spiritual battle. There are evil forces behind them, and they cover their eyes, speak to them lies, and manipulate them. We want to set them free from those dark forces so that they can see the God of love and glory. You are the Creator, Life-giver, and Provider. They need you. Separating from you, they can do nothing, and they will wither. Oh Lord, what can we do for them then? We cannot change their mind, and we cannot save them, of course. Oh Lord, we feel we are so powerless. We come to you and cry out to you for their salvation. Lord, please set them free from the dark forces and save them. Tell us what we can do, so we will do it wholeheartedly because we love them. In Jesus name. Amen.

They close their ears to hear the Gospel. Lord, we know this is a spiritual battle. There are evil forces behind them, and they cover their eyes, speak to them lies, and manipulate them. We want to set them free from those dark forces so that they can see the God of love and glory. You are the Creator, Life-giver, and Provider. They need you. Separating from you, they can do nothing, and they will wither. Oh Lord, what can we do for them then? We cannot change their mind,

2 Chronicles 34:33 (a prayer of the day)

As a result, he was very successful.” (2 Chronicles 31:21 NLT) 
 
Thank you Lord for the example of Hezekiah. When he served in the Temple and followed the Word of God, he fixed his eyes on you and sought you with all his heart and mind and strength. And you made him successful. Lord, we are sorry for the times where we are thinking about something else in reading and practicing your Word. We are sorry for the times where we look for being praised rather than giving glory to you alone. We often focus on our success and forget that your will be done and your name is praised. When things do not go as we want, we get frustrated and blame you. We do not try to see what you teach us in the situation and how you cultivate our hearts through the situation. Lord, once again we submit ourselves to you as living sacrifices to please you and honor you. This is our act of worship. Use us to shine your glory in our day so that people may recognize how wonderful you are. We want to see our loved ones come to you, praise you, and worship you. They devote themselves to you, love your Word, and live with your Word. In Jesus name. Amen.

When we suffer because of our faith in you, we share your suffering. The apostles were full of joy when they suffer shame for your name. Lord, give us perseverance to stand firm in suffering. Help us to know that we are safe while we stand on the Rock because it is unshakable. Teach us that your hand is long enough to catch us when we fall down. Your hand is stronger than any problems. There is nothing can separate us from your love. Oh Lord, thank you for your great love. In Jesus name. Amen.

Lord Jesus, thank you for your encouragement. You know our hearts that we are afraid. We are in an uncertain situation. When we think about the future, we start worrying. We can’t know what will happen next. We just worry what if, what if, what if. But Lord, you know what you are going to do, and the time is in your hand. Oh Lord, help us believe in you and trust in what you’re going to do. Lord, we are so greedy that we don’t want to lose anything. But in the reality, sometimes, we have to give up one to choose the other. We often can’t move on because we want to have both. Lord, speak to our anxious heart and let us know you are with us on this journey. Our hearts, listen to what the Lord says, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith. I am with you always.” In Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, thank you for your cross. You knew the disciples would be going to betray you, deny you, forsake you. But you still washed their dirty feet so that they could be part of you. You love us while we are unfaithful. You love us when we fail to love you. You wash us by your blood and cover us by your grace. The disciples didn’t understand you when you explained them about your cross and resurrection. They didn’t believe what you said, but you kept your promise. You knew what they would do and went ahead of them to Galilee and met them there where they encountered you and began to follow you. Lord, you know our heart, you know what we will do, and you are there before us. There, you are waiting for us, preparing what we need, and restoring our broken heart. Lord, help us to trust you more and more, let us experience your love and care more and more, guide our day so that we will know your plan is to prosper that we don’t understand how but you can.
