When a tree is planted in healthy soil next to a reliable source of water, abundant fruit is inevitable. Physically this is true, but also spiritually. As we put own deep roots in the word of God there will be abundant fruit present in our lives. Jesus said, You can know a tree by its fruit.This message will provide practical guidance to study Scripture. As we become planted in Scripture fruit will not just be a possibility in some seasons, but an inevitable reality in all seasons.

As Christ followers our goal is not just to dabble in Scripture, but to grow deep roots in Scripture. But first there is a need to understand the reliability of Scripture and the nature of Scripture. Scripture is inspiring, but more importantly, Scripture is divinely inspired. Scripture was inspired by God on purpose with a purpose. Scripture is a light, a path, a guide that points toward God and unleashes the presence and power of God in and through our lives. As we learn to understand God’s purpose and plan for Scripture, we can move beyond dabbling in it and allow our roots to grow, strong and deep.
