Heritage Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church in Antioch, California.

We take the elements in hand during the Lord's Supper and determine that we will render praises to the LORD. We will thank Him in the presence of all gathered for the sacrifice He has made for us. When we partake together, we pay our vow of thanksgiving. When we forsake the Lord's table, we do not count Him worthy - no matter what we say.

Vow to Remember - Psalm 56:12

The Lord loves us so much that there is nothing we desire in accordance with His will that He will not give us. There is no sin that will not be forgiven once confessed. There is no impurity that will have power over us. There is no need that He will not supply. His grace is always there and always sufficient for us.

Isaac's life is defined by his marriage to Rebekah, his twins sons, and the Abimelech. We know much about the character of Isaac not explicitly but through the character of the people around him. 
 
This message develops the theme of despising one's birthright as the oldest son of Isaac did. It teaches us the danger of becoming indifferent to our own birthright. It also teaches us the danger of indulging in earthly things.

Despising Your Birthright - Genesis 25:12-34

Israel believed God's words and sang His praise only to forget His works and fail to wait for His counsel. We are often unbelieving and ungrateful. We are this way in spite of all that God has done for us. What make this particularly sinful is that we have more light than Israel had at the time this Psalm was penned. How you live your life today ought to be determined by how you will be living it 10,000 years from now.

Sinning in Spite of God - Psalm 78:32

While David wrote Psalm 16 out of his own insecurity and trial, he also wrote of the One who would be born according to the seed of David, the Lord Jesus Christ. We know this because both Peter and Paul quote from Psalm 16 and apply it to the Lord Jesus (see Acts 2.25-28, 36; 13.35-39). Easter is a point on the annual Christian calendar which emphasizes the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Verse 8-11 of our text demonstrate that 1) Jesus Christ set the Father always before Him in life; 2) found hope from the Father even in the face of death; 3) and found pleasures at the Father's right hand forevermore.

A Joyful Life - Psalm 16:8-11

Why is an "I'll-Believe-It-When-I-See-It" attitude so wicked? God says it is. God shows it is. Conversely, why is an "I'll-Believe-It-Because-God-Said-It" attitude so wonderful? Because it manifest the faith and trust that God looks for in His children.

God's Fury Against Unbelief - Psalm 78:12-51

What does the Bible mean when it talks about moving from faith to faith, grace to grace, or glory to glory? A good ministry focuses upon the discipleship of people within the local church and then extending that ministry to the world. We grow in our understanding of grace, faith, and glory.

Drawing from the wells of salvation is drawing from deep wells opened for us by the blood of Jesus Christ. We draw from these wells with great joy. But as water reflects an image, so we must reflect the glory of God when we partake from these wells. "You" as an individual must reflect the character of God. "We" as a church must reflect the glory of God.

We have not already attained the end of our faith. We are not already perfected. But we press on, that we may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus laid hold of us. 'My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me' (Philippians 3.12; Psalm 63.8). We keep looking ahead and moving forward in the Christian life because God is truly with us. Our hope is a wider, vaster, fuller, more comprehensive picture of Jesus Christ in our lives.
