The context of Hebrews 10:5-7 proves that it was a quote from Psalm 40:6-7 in which God the Father foreordained what the Messiah would pray on the earth as a man. Jesus prayed, “Sacrifice and offering you have not desired, but a body you have prepared for me. In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have taken no pleasure … behold I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.” 
An alleged pre-incarnate God the Son Person could not have said, “behold I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do YOUR WILL, O GOD.” Therefore we know that this passage is not speaking about a pre-incarnate God the Son praying to the Father.

Anyone who carefully looks at the context of Colossians 1:15-20 should see that Paul addressed the Son of God as the man Christ Jesus being "the firstborn of all creation" rather than being an actual agent in creation. For God as God cannot be a coequal God the Firstborn. Likewise Colossians 1:18 calls the Son, "the beginning (arche), the firstborn from the dead." Here we can see that Jesus was already "the beginning" in the sense of being the "firstborn from the dead" as the first in the mind and plan of God to be "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Rev. 13:8). For Acts 15:18 says, “known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world.” 
Jesus as a child born and son given was clearly “the firstborn of all creation" just as Revelation 3:14 says that he is "the beginning (arche) of the creation of God." God as God cannot be "the beginning OF the creation OF GOD." Since Jesus as a son could not have been literally born and slain twice before the world was actually created, we know that these things had to have been written about the "foreknown" son (1 Peter 1:20) as "the firstborn" who was later brought into the world (Heb. 1:6) in God's detailed prophetic plan. Therefore, when we connect Colossians 1:15 to Colossians 1:16 we must first understand that Paul was addressing the Son as "the firstborn of all creation" in God's expressed thought (His expressed word, the logos of John 1:1).

The Scriptures prove that “the angel OF the LORD” is spoken of in a collective sense as there is no evidence to suggest that a singular angel OF the LORD is omnipresent. 
Psalm 34:7 says, “The angel OF Yahweh encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.” 
I first heard the argument that a pre-incarnate angel was the alleged pre-incarnate omnipresent Son of God who encamps around the righteous in one of Sam Shamoun’s debates posted on YouTube. 
First of all, the text reads, “The angel OF Yahweh” and not Yahweh Himself; so the angel OF Yahweh could not be Yahweh Himself. 
Secondly, there is not a single scripture anywhere in the Bible that ever says that any of the angels are omnipresent. 
Thirdly, Psalm 34:7 does not imply that only one specific angel OF Yahweh encamps around those who fear God. 
The Pulpit Commentary says, "... the expression, "angel of the Lord," is here used as a collective, and means the angels generally. With this certainly agrees the statement that the angel "encampeth round about them that fear him;" and the illustration from 2 Kings 6:14-18 is thus exactly apposite” (relevant). 
The Pulpit Commentary continues, “But others deny that "the angel of the Lord" has ever a collective sense, and think a single personality must necessarily be intended, which they regard as identical with "the captain OF Jehovah’s host” [the captain OF Jehovah’s host could not be Jehovah]," who appeared to Joshua (Joshua 5:14, 15), and "the angel of the Lord's presence" spoken of by Isaiah (Isaiah 63:9) … When pressed to say how this one angel can "encamp round" a number of persons, they reply that, of course, he has his subordinates with him - a "spangled host," that "keep watch in squadrons bright;" and that he is said to do what they do, which is no doubt quite in accordance with ordinary modes of speech. Thus, however, the two expositions become nearly identical, since, according to both, it is the angelic host which "encamps around" the faithful. 
Fourthly, Psalm 99:1 says, “He sits between the CHERUBIM.” The text does not say, cherubim’s in the plural, but “cherubim” in the singular. Therefore God’s angels can be spoken of as “the angel of the LORD” in a collective sense.

FIVE FACTS ABOUT ANGELS IN THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES. 
1. GOD SPOKE TO MOSES THROUGH ANGELS - Acts 7:35-38 states that God spoke to Moses through the angel at the burning bush and through an angel on Mount Sinai. For Acts 7:35-38 clearly states that “God sent (Moses) to be a ruler and deliverer BY THE HAND OF THE ANGEL WHO APPEARED TO HIM IN THE BUSH (in the burning bush) … This is he (Moses), that was in the church in the wilderness with THE ANGEL WHICH SPOKE TO HIM IN THE MOUNT SINAI …” Hence, God’s actual voice did not speak to Moses at the burning bush or at Mount Sinai because God spoke to Moses “by the hand of the angel … in the bush” and by “the angel which spoke to him in Mount Sinai.” 
2. THE LAW OF MOSES WAS RECEIVED BY THE DIRECTION OF ANGELS - Acts 7:53 states that “THE LAW” was “received” “BY THE DIRECTION OF ANGELS." Since the Law of Moses was received by the direction of angels, God clearly used angelic agency to deliver it. 
3. THE LAW WAS COMMANDED BY ANGELS - Galatians 3:19 - The Law “… was COMMANDED BY ANGELS in the hand of a mediator (Moses).” 
4. THE WORD OF GOD WAS SPOKEN BY ANGELS - Hebrews 2:2 - “For if THE WORD SPOKEN BY ANGELS was steadfast (THE LAW) …” 
5. THE ANCIENT HEBREWS REGARDED GOD’S ANGELIC AGENTS AS GOD HIMSELF - In the Hebrew “law of agency,” “A PERSON’S AGENT IS REGARDED AS THE PERSON HIMSELF (Ned. 72b; Kidd. 41b).”

Wherefore, the scriptures prove the following three facts. 
Fact 1. No man has physically or literally seen the invisible God. 
Fact 2. The words “face to face” are clearly a Hebrew idiomatic expression for closeness or nearness to the divine presence. 
Fact 3. Some holy men of God saw visionary images of God that were not physical.
